Robert Willams @ Cal State Northridge 3.10.10

Some pics of two 9ft. sculptures by artist, Robert Williams. I've admired Robert's work for 20 years so it was great meeting him and seeing his paintings and other art in person. Critics find Robert's work distasteful while others find it mind expanding as Mr. Williams sets out to show the viewer something they haven't seen (his words). I agree with the latter as I find much inspiration in those going against the grain. Those squeamish or turned off by the subject matter are missing the point. Robert is the definition of a true innovator, rebel, legend, and one hell of a nice guy.

ROBERT WILLIAMS SHOW ENDING JAN 23

Another favorite artist in whom I find much inspiration, Robert Williams, has a show ending Jan 23rd at the Tony Shafrazi Gallery in NYC. Why Robert Williams you may ask? Mr. Williams' work retains the wild creative abandon and rebelliousness sorely missing in art today. Williams has stuck to his guns for years and is the ultimate bohemian artist. And he's one articulate and skilled mofo. Yes, his work may offend some, but it's WHAT Robert is doing that makes him so special. Much respect and love goes out to him for following his vision without wavering for so many years. Tit and ass have never been so inspiring.
